Personal Data
Interacting with our website should be not only interesting but also a positive experience for all users. To take advantage of all the interaction possibilities and services we offer, it may be necessary to provide us with some of your personal data. There are several contact forms on our website designed to allow you to contact a RE/MAX representative who will assist you with your request. Some of these forms ask for basic contact information such as your name, email, and phone number, while others ask for more detailed information such as your address. In all forms, we have taken care to collect only the minimum information necessary to provide you with the service you request. Providing any personal data is never mandatory, but if you do not, we may not be able to provide you with the service you require.
We offer the MY/RE/MAX option, which allows you to create a user account on our website and use more advanced options such as saving your preferred properties or a list of search parameters. Users can also have a more direct connection to agents and interact securely with RE/MAX Agents, making it easier to find their dream home or sell their home more quickly.
Who has access to your information?
Regardless of which contact form you use on our website, we guarantee that your information will only be shared with a RE/MAX representative and never with anyone else. You will usually be contacted by a RE/MAX Associate Agent who will follow up on your request regarding a property. In the case of requests regarding career opportunities or franchise sales, your data will be sent to a RE/MAX agency, regional office, or international representative.
How do we protect your personal information?
Within the RE/MAX network, your information can only be accessed by a RE/MAX representative using a username and password. Outside of our franchisee group, your information can only be accessed by the staff of our subcontractor, Gryphtech Inc., which is responsible for the development and maintenance of the website and for data storage, and by Devscope S.A., which acts as a subcontractor for the customer tracking system used in the network in Portugal and is responsible for the development and storage of data on that platform.
Your personal information is always stored on secure servers that respect and comply with all GDPR requirements in terms of protection and processing of personal data.
Rights of access to personal data
According to the GDPR, any citizen has the right to access their personal data stored on our servers. We offer the possibility to request this access through the page.
You also have the right to request the portability of your data, which means that we give you the possibility of receiving your data in a common format that you can use to transfer it to another entity.
When you request access to your personal data through the page, you will receive your personal data in a secure email. This offers you additional flexibility as you can use this same format to forward it to another entity or cut and paste the information into another file format.
Right to be Forgotten
The GDPR also gives you the right to request that your personal data be forgotten by RE/MAX. When this process is completed, all personal data that could directly or indirectly identify someone will have been anonymized.
